Patty and Rudy Reyes started their popular restaurant in 1997 with a great plan and a heritage of good food ideas. Though Patty was raised in the restaurant business, Rudy was a true West Texas cowboy who rounded up his herds and lasso'd a calf or two. Both understood the value of hard work and determination and they've utilized those skills (along with some natural marketing talent) to build their business into one of the most popular taco destinations in south San Antonio.

One reason for their popularity is the family friendly atmosphere they’ve created there – beginning with their own family of seven children – who all worked in the restaurant while growing up and earned their way through college. The guests who frequent this restaurant are often folks who’ve bought tacos there since it first opened.

Patty's Taco House #2 is a good example that you don't have to be biggest to be one of the best. Their attractive little restaurant has limited interior seating, but has a huge reputation for its fast drive through business. Guests can order custom made tacos from a variety of ingredients. The cook practically has the tacos completed by the time each car reaches the drive-through window!

Because of their unique marketing to school children in the area, Rudy is known as "The Taco Man" when spotted around town. He makes an extra effort to provide excellent service at all times. "The Taco Man" also serves breakfast and lunch every hour they are open. This unique serving schedule accommodates shift workers in the area who are ending their work "day" in the morning and would like an Enchilada Plate or a Puffy Taco Plate (one of their specialties) for dinner at 6:00 a.m.!

This great little Mexican food restaurant is a treasure to find. Before you go, be thinking about your favorite taco combo to special order. There are plenty of ingredients to choose from: quacamole, fajitas, rice, beans, cheese, eggs, bacon, potatoes, picadillo... and much more!
